To celebrate the International Year of Astronomy in 2009, leading experts will be visiting primary schools across Scotland to run a series of exciting workshops.

Juliet Robertson, a teacher at Cornhill Primary School in Aberdeen, has been awarded a prestigious Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship. She told Connected magazine about the first leg of her journey.

The NESTA/Planet Science video competition is now open for entries. The team at Planet Science – the website offering free science resources to Scottish schools – hopes to create a massive video database of scientific experiments including films made by pupils, teachers, scientists and anyone else that enters the launch competition.
